We will do our best to ensure all water level alerts created on this website are acted upon at the appropriate moment.

However...

We do not:

• accept responsibility for your failure to receive an alert, whether it be the fault of our systems or any other cause
• accept responsibility for any losses, damages or costs incurred by you as a result of using the services provided by this website
• guarantee the availability of this website or the services it provides and withhold the right to cease operations without notice at any time
• accept responsibility for the accuracy of any data contained on, or distributed by this website. All water level data is provided by the Environment Agency under the Open Government Licence v3.0
• guarantee to send alerts if your account lacks adequate credits. We will however try to warn you via SMS and email when your account gets low.
• guarantee the frequency at which the water levels provided by this website and its associated services are updated. We aim to reflect the latest data from the Environment Agency measuring stations within 5 minutes of its publication but this may not always be possible. The Environment Agency typically updates river level data once or twice a day, increasing dramatically during times of heightened flood risk. We do not however have any influence over how regularly this data is released and do not accept responsibility for delays in its publication by either the Environment Agency or for the length of time it takes to be reflected by our website and services.

You agree:

• to check all details of your alerts carefully and to make sure that the contact details are correct and up-to-date
• not use this service in situations where there may be losses, damages, costs or injuries incurred as a result of its failure

We may use your personal information:

• to send you river level alerts
• to send you additional information directly related to your alerts or other infrequent administrative messages

We will not use your personal information:

• to sell or share with any third party
• for any purposes not related to river level alerts

Removing your data from our database

If you would like to stop all alerts and have your data removed from our database you can either delete your account from the account page or email us at help@river-level-alerts.uk from your registered email address using the subject line 'Please remove me from your database'. Your data will be removed within 30 days of the request being received.
